Post-graduate music studies and professional training in music figure among the institutional scopes of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. From the traditional Master Courses in Music Studies, accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, to the master programmes I Fiati (Woodwinds & Brass), Timpani & Percussions for the instrumental part and Santa Cecilia Opera Studio for opera singing, the Santa Cecilia Academy courses are aimed at young talented musicians with distinct performing skills who want to pursue a professional career in music.
Studying at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia means choosing to work with teachers of great experience and international renown, who are able to inspire, direct and develop the talent and the musical personality of each student. It also means understanding the value of studying at the heart of an institution that every day produces music at the highest levels, in an environment rich in cultural and artistic stimulus and in constant and direct contact with the professional dimension of music making.
The Santa Cecilia master programmes include ample performance opportunities at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and in other prestigious venues. These include the realization of various artistic projects, among which the activities of an InstrumentalEnsemble, conducted by Carlo Rizzari, the series of concerts “New Talents” and various opera productions. Among future projects, particular mention should go to the staging of a double bill, Puccini, Gianni Schicchi & Ravel, L’heure espagnole, programmed in September 2012 at the Sala Petrassi, Auditorium Parco della Musica.
