A course in music appreciation– Tuesdays at 17:45

The Dentro la Musica (Within the Music) series is a course in music appreciation tendered by musicologist Gaia Vazzoler that offers music-lovers a fascinating journey through the world of musical instruments. Beginning with the piano and moving through the string and wind families, a series of encounters take participants more deeply into the main aspects of each instrument: from the techniques of their construction to the most famous compositions written for them, taking time to discuss the historical periods during which great interpreters promoted them and made them famous.

Every step, as always, is enriched by guided listening, projections, examples played live at the piano, and readings from biographies and correspondence. In addition, beginning this year, the lessons will also be put into an artistic context using examples from figurative art and literature, and including the participation of guest artists and art experts.
