??? Paragrafo[1]/Immagine/Link ???
It will be a great return to Asia, after a 4-year absence, that of the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia – conducted by Antonio Pappano –which will perform in some of the most important and prestigious concert halls of the continent from 15 to 29 November. A tour that will reach China and Hong Kong starting from South Korea and Taiwan.
The presence of three pianists among the most talented of the contemporary scenario will enrich the tournée.The first being the Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov, born in 1991, considered by the Times “the most extraordinary pianist of our era”, acclaimed by audiences and critics and a winner of a Grammy Award for his recording of the Transcendental Étudesby Liszt for the Deutsche Grammophon. He has received countless recognitions and prizes such as the Warsaw Chopin competition (ranked third at the age of 19), the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition of Tel Aviv (first prize), the International Tchaikovsky Competition of Moscow (first prize). In 2013 Trifonov won the Abbiati Prize and he was nominated in 2016 ‘Artist of the year’ by Gramophon magazine.
Some dates will showcase at the piano Seong-Jin Cho, defined by critics as “balanced and virtuoso at the same time”, after winning the first prize at Warsaw Chopin competition in 2015, imposed his style and received more and more success all over the world. The only female presence will be the  Chinese pianist Sa Chen , whohas been  awarded in three of the most important piano competitions: the Leeds Piano Competition, the Warsaw Chopin Competition and the Van Cliburn Competition. Her notoriety arrived at the age of 16 in a memorable concert broadcasted live by the BBC with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle. On the occasion of the tournée, the Orchestra and Maestro Pappano will present two musical programs with a strong emotional impact for the Asian audience, which is increasingly focused upon the western symphonic – concert tradition, while at the same time attracted by a technical language in constant evolution. The first program will be dedicated to three great Russian composers, considered among the most representative of late Romanticism, with the Overture of the Ruslan and Lyudmila by Glinka, the Piano concerto n. 3 of Rachmaninoff and the Symphony n. 4 ofTchaikovsky and will see the participation of the pianist Daniil Trifonov (Seoul 15 November; Taipei 20 November; Hong Kong 22 November; Dalian 26 November; Beijing 27 November).
The second program will be instead completely dedicated to Beethoven, with the Piano concerto n. 3 and the Symphony n. 2. Seong-Jin Cho will be the protagonist for the concerts in Seoul (16 November), Incheon (17 November) and Hong Kong (23 November), while the pianist Sa Chen will perform in the Beijing concert (28 November).
The concert at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center of Shanghai (29 November), which will end the tournée, will see again the presence of Daniil Trifonov, who will perform the Piano concerto n. 3 of Rachmaninoff, following with the Symphony n.4 of Tchaikovsky and the Symphony of Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia.
